Connection to the mains supply Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label. Bean container Important safety instructions Before the appliance is used, the main body including the power cord as well as any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Switch off the appliance afterwards and allow the motor to cool down (30 Min. ) before switching it on again. Operation - Remove the bean container lid and fill the container with the desired quantity of coffee beans (max. The measure of 60g of coffee beans is sufficient for about 10 cups of brewed coffee. - The quality of the ground coffee can be adjusted from fine to coarse by means of the adjustment ring. - Make sure that the collection container lid is properly fitted before attaching the container itself to the main unit. The container must be correctly fitted and fully locked into place for the built-in safety switch to operate. As soon as the operating button is pressed, the grinding process begins. Keep the button pressed until either: - all beans in the container have been ground, or - until the desired quantity of ground coffee has been produced (or the "Max. "-marking in the collection container has been reached), - or until the appliance has been running for the maximum operating time of 90 seconds. - After grinding, always remove the plug from the wall socket before removing the collection container or opening the bean container lid. Note: to ensure optimum coffee flavour, only the required quantity of beans should be ground immediately prior to brewing. Should another grinding cycle become necessary, however, the maximum operating time of 90 seconds must not be exceeded. General care and cleaning Before cleaning the appliance, always remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the housing or the power cord with water, and do not immerse them in water.
